Peteris Skudra is new head coach of Traktor

The coach signed one-year contract.

The organization did a big job on new head coach. Peteris Skudra is the best choice for Traktor since there will be a completely new team. He is a top level professional and Peteris has a lot of experience with KHL clubs. Moreover, he knows a lot about hockey peculiarities and how to work with young players. Peteris is a great source of motivations for the players. Chelyabinsk coach Alexey Tertyshny will work as a senior coach.



PETERIS SKUDRA
Born on April 24, 1973, in Riga, Latvia.

Playing career
Peteris used to play for such NHL clubs as Pittsburgh Penguins, Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres. In Russia Peteris guarded the net of Ak Bars and CSKA as well as the net of Latvia national team.

Coaching career
Peteris`s coaching career began in 2011, the coach worked with Severstal Cherepovets, then in Sibir Novosibirsk. As a head coach, Peterish helped Torpedo Nizhni Novgorod to qualify for the play-offs for five years straights starting with 2013.
