It’s official – Belarus’ Andrey Kostitsyn inks new 1-year deal with Traktor.

Drafted in 2003 by Montreal Canadiens in 1st round, overall #10 draft.
Career: Polimir (Novopolotsk), CSKA (Moscow), Khimik (Voskresensk), Yunost (Minsk), Yunior (Minsk), Hamilton Bulldogs (AHL), Montreal Canadiens (NHL), Nashville Predators (NHL), Traktor (Chelyabinsk).
Trophies and achievements: U18 WJC D1 gold medalist (2001), U20 WJC D1/B gold medalist (2004), World Championship D1/A gold medalist (2004), Belarus POY (2008), KHL silver medalist (2013).

During this past season Andrey played in 44 regular season matches and 23 playoff matches, garnering a total of 31 points (16 G, 15 A), +17 and 92 PIM.

AK #46, as he is called over the pond, scored what might be the most memorable goal in all of Traktor’s rich history when, thirty seconds prior to what should have been the end of regulation time of Eastern Conference Finals game 7 between Traktor and Ak Bars, he scored a clutch goal that propelled Traktor to the league finals and the best result in team’s storied history.
